Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Additive Manufacturing Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining advanced 3D printing equipment, ensuring high-quality output, and supporting post-processing activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up 3D printers, including loading/unloading material spools, filling resin cassettes, preparing software programs, scheduling jobs, and sending prints to various machines using multiple technologies.
• Clean, wash, and prepare parts for post-processing following standard procedures.
• Perform daily and scheduled machine maintenance, including cleaning, preventative upkeep, and minor repairs, in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Execute secondary processing such as media blasting, sanding, and general assembly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area through 5S and general facility upkeep.
• Troubleshoot equipment and print issues to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet customer requirements, including referencing CAD models in Creo or SolidWorks.
• Handle occasional administrative tasks such as inventory management, material ordering, and part packaging.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair 3D printing equipment.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting as it relates to printing systems.
• Understanding of computer networking concepts applicable to printing operations.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD models, and measurement methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 5% as needed.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, or related fields.
• Coursework or certification in Design or Manufacturing with a focus on 3D printing.
• Familiarity with FDM, PolyJet, and resin-based additive technologies, including DLP, CLIP, and SLA.
• Basic CAD skills for model interrogation and manipulation.

Benefits

• Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment.
