AWS Solution Architect Toronto, Canada (Hybrid/Remote Options)

Role Overview

We are hiring an AWS Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of cloud-native solutions for one of our premier consulting clients. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and consulting skills , with the ability to engage business stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable AWS architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end AWS cloud architecture across data, applications, and integration layers.
• Design solutions leveraging AWS core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Architect and oversee data pipelines, analytics platforms, and real-time streaming systems .
• Provide technical leadership on cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
• Establish cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks .
• Guide development teams on DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and automation practices .
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years as a Cloud/Solution Architect .
• Strong AWS expertise with certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional/Associate ).
• Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale AWS solutions .
• Hands-on knowledge of containers and microservices (ECS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, IAM, VPC, and security best practices .
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data engineering/analytics (Redshift, Glue, Kinesis, EMR).
• Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures .
• Consulting background with experience in stakeholder engagement and solution framing .
