As a Data Center Operations Technician , you’ll be hands-on with critical technology infrastructure. You’ll support the daily operations that keep our data center running smoothly — installing equipment, handling support tickets, running tests, and working directly with customers and vendors. This is a great opportunity if you have experience in technical support, cabling, or working in a hands-on IT environment and want to grow in the fast-paced world of data centers.
Ticketing & Troubleshooting
Work through customer support requests and service tickets.
Track and complete tasks using our ticketing system — accuracy matters!
Help troubleshoot network or equipment issues and escalate when needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems.
Hardware Installations
Install customer equipment into racks (“rack and stack”).
Follow installation plans and diagrams for wiring, connections, and hardware setups.
Install structured cabling (fiber and copper), cable trays, cages, and cabinets.
Raise any concerns about infrastructure capacity or cabling needs.
Testing & Quality Checks
Run tests to certify layer 1-3 connectivity (think: network cables, fiber optics).
Check your work and others’ for quality and consistency.
Keep detailed records of all work done.
Customer Interaction
Provide a great experience to customers on-site — be professional and helpful.
Offer clear timelines and updates on work progress.
Escort customers and vendors as needed for access and safety.
Team & Project Support
Help out on team projects and installations.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to keep everything moving.
May support dispatching, inventory checks, and alarm escalations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of hands-on experience in technical support, IT, or a data center/telecom environment.
Comfortable reading wiring schematics or installation plans.
Experience with fiber and copper terminations is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.
Willingness to work in a physical environment — on your feet, lifting equipment, etc.
Work in a fast-growing, high-tech industry.
