Job Description
Salary: $60,000 - 72,000 per year Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB
- Skills in performance tuning, patching, and constructing databases
- Proficient in backup and recovery methodologies
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as KornShell (Unix/Linux) and PowerShell (Windows)
- Experience using ServiceNow to manage tasks
- Minimum of a green card is mandatory
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and accountable approach to work
- Preferred 5-7 years of direct DBA experience in utility or SCADA environments
- Relevant certifications like Microsoft or Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP) are advantageous
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is a plus
Responsibilities: - Provide support for Operational Technology (OT) databases including SCADA and nuclear systems
- Manage and maintain various database platforms to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct performance tuning, patching, and backup recovery
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 7-day coverage
- Monitor DBA helpdesk for alerts and respond to proactive/reactive requests
- Collaborate with internal teams on ongoing projects like the ADMS upgrade
- Utilize ServiceNow for managing and addressing requests
- Daily tasks involve checking emails, resolving support tickets, and fulfilling project needs
- Engage with a team of 5 DBAs and coordinate with application support teams and project stakeholders
