Dispensary Shift Lead - CLOSING (Weekends Mandatory)
This is a key leadership role within a licensed cannabis dispensary, responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, supporting staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This full-time position requires strong leadership, communication, and cash-handling skills, along with flexibility to assist in various operational areas as needed.
Store Operations
Oversee opening and closing procedures, including store security, register reconciliation, and daily reporting.
Manage cash handling, drops, audits, and reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
Maintain compliance with company and state procedures for product intake, storage, and reporting systems.
Team Leadership
Supervise front-of-house team members across sales, intake, and e-commerce functions.
Schedule and manage breaks in compliance with California labor laws.
Provide on-shift leadership, performance feedback, and problem-solving for staff coverage or operational issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant retail environment.
Communicate supply needs, updates, and incident reports to management.
Customer Experience
Model and enforce high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Support team members in resolving customer issues and processing returns or rewards.
Lead de-escalations when needed and report customer concerns appropriately.
Provide input to improve the in-store and online customer experience.
Inventory & Compliance Support
Assist with product counts, restocking, and ensuring accurate inventory data in point-of-sale and compliance systems.
Process returns, adjustments, and documentation in accordance with regulations.
Support product intake and delivery verification as needed.
E-Commerce & Delivery Oversight
Monitor and manage online and delivery order flow, ensuring timely fulfillment and accuracy.
Coordinate with delivery drivers, ensuring correct dispatch, equipment accountability, and compliance with procedures.
Support communication between departments to maintain order efficiency and quality service.
Prior retail management or supervisory experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment (cannabis experience preferred).
Strong understanding of POS, inventory, and e-commerce systems.
Proven cash-handling and reconciliation experience.
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple departments.
