**Job Title: 1st Shift - Forklift Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a diligent and experienced Forklift/Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate sit-down gas forklifts, and over time, you may also operate skid steers and balers. You will be responsible for stacking and moving recycling materials, transporting materials throughout the facility, and emptying full containers. You will perform general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment and assist wherever needed. **Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down forklifts (gas) efficiently. + Stack and move recycling materials and garbage. + Transport materials throughout the facility and empty full containers. + Perform general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment. + Assist in various tasks as needed across the facility. **Essential Skills** + 2-5 years of forklift operating experience. + Experience with material handling and loading. + Ability to perform heavy lifting (50lbs+). + Experience with heavy equipment, picking, general labor, skid steer, and loader. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1+ year of small equipment operating experience. **Why Work Here?** Join a stable industry with abundant opportunities for growth and upward mobility. Our company boasts high employee retention, with 80% of our employees having been with us for over 5 years. **Work Environment, Shift Hours, and Pay** + 1st Shift: 4:00am - EOS (12:30pm/1:00pm) @ $21/hr + 2nd Shift: 2:45pm - EOS (midnight) @ 22/hr The facility is located in Madison, WI. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monona, WI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
