Job Description

Job Summary: Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that support our data integration and analytics initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and proficiency in ETL tools and scripting languages.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target systems (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes).
• Help implement new projects and maintain effective awareness of all production activities according to required standards and provide support to all existing applications.
• Maintain documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Perform root cause analysis to help resolve production issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of proven experience with IBM DataStage.
• Experience working with both server and parallel jobs within DataStage.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with AQT.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or Shell for automation and data manipulation.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration best practices.
• Strong proficiency with database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, SQL, and variation among popular databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Business Objects.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• General knowledge in the Wealth and Asset Management industry.
