The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of electronics and communications systems, coupled with the ability to perform a wide range of physical installation tasks, and demonstrate the potential to lead installation projects. While not initially a direct lead role, this position offers significant opportunities for growth and leadership responsibilities as the individual gains experience and demonstrates their capabilities. • Collaborate and communicate: You'll work closely with team members, field engineers, airport personnel, FAA technicians, and various contractors/vendors.
• Ensure safety and compliance: Adherence to all airport badging, TSA, and security requirements, including confined space protocols, is paramount. You will be a point of contact for confined space needs, and you'll coordinate all crew badging and training.
• Maintain equipment: You'll manage inventory and ensure proper calibration and repair of FOTS survey equipment (primarily a Team Lead responsibility).
• Report progress: You'll provide regular status updates (daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your role) to team leads and program managers.
• Lead and direct (Team Lead): If you're a Team Lead, you'll oversee survey progress, manage budgetary issues, coordinate crew badging and training, and direct work assignments in support of the lead engineer's scope of work.
Successful Candidates will be:
Team players: You thrive in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
Physically fit: You must be able to perform demanding fieldwork, including working in confined spaces.
Detail-oriented: You must be capable of reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and GIS survey prints.
Flexible : You are willing to travel 100% of the time for project assignments.
Safety-conscious: Must be committed to adhering to all safety regulations, especially confined-space requirements.
Typical work days are from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM - 4:30 PM. This may vary based on the site.
