Job Description

Field Engineers are the front-line to customers to implement their publishing technology needs. An ideal candidate has a technical mind with a creative eye, and an internal drive to push publishing technology to the next level. They must be comfortable interacting with clients and thinking on their feet in a rapidly evolving and changing industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Technical Services Manager
  • Work with clients to understand requirements and develop creative solutions
  • Assist customers with using and integrating vjoon K4
  • Assist customers with using Entermedia and/or ResourceSpace Digital Asset Management
  • Provide training services for digital publishing, digital asset management, and editorial workflow systems
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team environment

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in media or technology-related major or similar with strong technical skills,
  • or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-5 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS technologies
  • Excellent problem solving skills with desire to take responsibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Advanced knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with customer service and technical support
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively time manage
  • Ability to creatively breakdown problems and devise solutions
  • Ability to learn, understand, and adapt to new technologies
  • Commitment to travel approximately 25% of the time

Nice to Have:

  • Portfolio of previous web or digital publishing projects
  • Experience using Linux
  • Experience using Sketch
  • Experience with OmniGraffle
  • Knowledge of programming in PHP
  • Knowledge of content management systems (Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
  • Knowledge of workflow management systems (K4, WoodWing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of digital asset management systems
  • Creative Design sense
