Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will handle a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, payroll administration, and benefits coordination. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and be passionate about fostering a productive and supportive workplace. This role works M-F on site, and offers medical, 401k, profit sharing, PTO, and bonus. The salary target is $65k-$70k. Bilingual Spanish a plus Responsibilities: - Address employee inquiries regarding benefit plans and other HR-related matters, ensuring clear communication and resolution. - Collaborate with V.P.s and managers to streamline various HR processes and maintain consistent practices. - Oversee payroll administration, including processing weekly payroll and verifying accuracy of data. - Manage contract employee procedures, including calculations and coordination with staffing agencies. - Maintain and update employee records, including payroll details, vacation accruals, and personal days. - Audit and edit payroll reports to ensure proper accounting for worked and non-worked hours, such as vacation or sick time. - Upload and verify 401K contributions from the payroll system to ensure accuracy. - Coordinate with supervisors to address unique employee situations and document actions when necessary. - Process and calculate hours for contract associates, sending verified figures to external agencies. - Support HR initiatives related to onboarding, union grievances, and compliance documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in human resources administration, including payroll and benefits management. - Proficiency with HRIS systems and ADP payroll software. - Strong knowledge of employee relations and onboarding processes. - Ability to handle union-related matters, including grievances and reporting. - Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple HR tasks effectively. - Detail-oriented with the ability to audit and maintain accurate employee records. - Familiarity with 401K processes and compliance requirements. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate with management and external agencies.
