The Mold Technician A will perform, duties from, setting up injection molds, auxiliary equipment, following the defined process, minor maintenance, safety checks on equipment, and troubleshooting as needed.

Schedule: 

• 12-Hour Rotating Day Shift
• Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 2-2-3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then alternates)
• Also available in Night Shift 

Pay rate: starting at $27/hr, depending on experience 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Work safely and efficiently
• Follow pre-defined press schedule for job-specific requirements
• Sets-up production molding jobs, including Mold setting, Process documents, Materials, and Auxiliary equipment
• Gather all process data, job information and enters into injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment and starts production job
• Handle raw material
• Verify product meets customer and quality requirements, perform trouble shooting when necessary
• Perform routine minor equipment maintenance and safety checks on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Participate in WD training programs.
• Participate in plant-wide safety efforts.
• Provide plant-wide support.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

• High school education
• One year of post-secondary education in injection molding.
• One year as Mold Technician plus 3 years as Set-Up Technician or equivalent combination of training and experience or demonstrated capability to perform the duties of the job.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand/walk for entire shift duration (12 hours)
• Strong communication & organizational skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
