Job Description

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of technical experience in deploying large server and applications on virtualized and containerized platforms. You should possess a solid understanding of application, server, and network security, along with experience in firewall technology design, such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, or other software-defined firewall solutions like VMWare NSX-T and Panorama. Additionally, proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, Access Control Lists (ACLs), VLAN, Quality of Service (QoS), Multicast, and IP Routing is essential. Familiarity with routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, IP Multicast, and BGP is preferred. Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Salt is a plus, as we aim to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC). It’s also important that you have experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, PCF, or Azure, as well as experience with software configuration management and DevOps tools including Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, and Concourse. Understanding Agile/Scrum methodologies and having a Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

• As a Network Security Engineer, you will be an ambitious individual contributor responsible for providing efficiently organized and designed logic. You will support Schwab's security architectures and initiatives, tackling complex problems and devising simple, effective solutions. It’s essential that you communicate well with your teammates and organizational leaders, displaying excellent listening skills and an inquisitive nature. You'll work closely with peer teams, transitioning and cross-training them on your security designs and technology development. We expect you to thrive in a fast-paced environment that spans multiple time zones and locations, while leveraging your interpersonal and analytical skills to align with our overall objectives. Previous exposure to a highly regulated environment will be advantageous for this role.
