Job Description

Spur, a digital staffing agency, seeks enthusiastic and approachable leaders to fill substitute secretary positions in the Russellville City Schools. The ideal candidate for the job will have a friendly and approachable attitude and prior related experience working with children. Position schedules will be based on the school’s standard schedule. However, some districts may offer opportunities outside of the regular school schedule. Extra options are dictated entirely by the school district where they fall and are not guaranteed. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.

The duties and requirements for this position are:

• Performing secretarial duties - transcription, answering phones, maintaining files
• Operating office equipment - computer terminals, copier, etc.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality
• Punctual and professional demeanor
• Able to work on an on-call basis
• Prior related experience working with children
• The ability to lift heavy objects to 40 lbs.
• Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned Requirements

Qualifications

• Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00)
• Must be able to complete MCS Training (Training offered at no cost by Spur Training Manager)
• Required Online Training

Compensation

• This position pays $80.00 per day 
• Must be available to work 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday when school is in session. (Hours vary per location)
