Job Description

This isn’t your typical “launch features and write datasheets” role. This is for the strategist who looks at a procure-to-pay platform and thinks, “Procurement isn’t just about purchase orders and service requests— it’s about unlocking business agility, risk control, and smarter spend management.”

At Stampli, we’ve dominated Accounts Payable automation. Now, we’re breaking into Procurement — and we need someone who can help customers see the full business value of procure-to-pay.

This role is about more than telling the story of procurement: it’s consultative, analytical, and deeply business-oriented. We’re looking for someone who has advised CFOs, procurement leaders, and finance executives — someone who knows how to connect their pain points to solutions that drive measurable outcomes. If you can translate complex procurement challenges into compelling narratives and actionable strategies, you’ll define not just how we sell, but how customers buy.

What You Will Do:
  • Consultative Storytelling – Bring your consulting toolkit to customer conversations, helping them map pain points to processes, and processes to solutions.
  • Enable Sales Success – Partner with sales teams to elevate conversations from tactical to strategic procurement.
  • Launch with Impact – Lead go-to-market strategy for new Procurement features, campaigns, and enablement.
  • Champion the Customer – Deeply understand procurement and finance personas, from CFO to procurement manager, and shape strategies that resonate across all levels.
  • Bridge Strategy and Execution – Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure the Procurement value story is consistent and powerful at every touchpoint.
  • Content Acceleration with AI – Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise) to draft, refine, and personalize marketing collateral, positioning guides, best practices, and sales enablement materials quickly and at scale.
  • Customer Persona Insights – Apply AI-driven analysis of customer data, call transcripts, and surveys to extract persona insights, refine messaging, and anticipate evolving needs.
  • Consultative Storytelling Support – Use AI to model pain-to-solution narratives and generate scenario-based messaging tailored to CFOs, procurement leaders, and finance executives.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling – Employ AI to translate complex procurement and financial datasets into compelling narratives, visuals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experimentation & Optimization – Run A/B tests and use AI-driven analytics to evaluate content effectiveness, optimize messaging, and refine campaign performance.

What You Will Bring:
  • Procurement & Finance Expertise – 4+ years in management consulting or advisory roles focused on procure-to-pay or accounts payable, with a solid understanding of financial accounting and the business side of procurement.
  • ERP Knowledge – Familiarity with the ERP landscape and how procurement and AP solutions integrate into broader finance and operations workflows.
  • Strong Communicator – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an innate storytelling ability to turn complex ideas into compelling narratives.
  • Content Creator – Proven ability to write and build marketing content from scratch — from thought leadership pieces to product positioning guides to customer-facing collateral.
  • Strategic & Detail-Oriented – A natural planner who can think big-picture while staying organized and detail-focused to execute flawlessly.
  • Self-Starter Mindset – Proactive, resourceful, and driven — able to thrive in a fast-moving environment where you’ll be building new playbooks, not following existing ones.
  • Marketing Bonus – Prior product marketing experience is ideal, but not required; what matters is your ability to advise customers, connect their pain points to solutions, and tell stories that move markets.
  • Preferred experience with either NetSuite, Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Coupa, and/or Ariba

You Will Get:
  • The flexibility of working from our Mountain View, CA office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), with the option to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
  • Stock options
  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) + employer match
  • Access to cutting-edge AI tools, including ChatGPT Enterprise, to enhance productivity, support innovation, and streamline daily workflows
  • Opportunities and development for career and personal growth
  • Strong and experienced leadership that supports your growth and success
  • An open-concept, modern workspace within an inclusive and dynamic scale-up culture

The base salary hiring range for this position is $140,000–$150,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
