Shipping Clerk:

The shipping clerk is responsible for preparing, documenting, and coordinating outgoing and/or incoming shipments to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely delivery of products.

Duties:

• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments following company and carrier guidelines.
• Verify and document both incoming and outgoing shipments by checking orders, packing lists, and shipping software.
• Coordinate with carriers and schedule large shipments as needed to maintain efficient logistics.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and warehouse inventory using scanning equipment or computers.
• Communicate with warehouse, production, customer service, and receiving departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Skills, Qualifications, and Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred; some manufacturing or shipping experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic math, computer, and organizational skills for inventory and documentation.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and label printers.
• Experience using shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse software.
• Attention to detail, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
