Position Overview:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of outgoing shipments. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in the shipping process, working closely with logistics partners, internal departments, and customers. Forklift experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, track, and monitor all outbound shipments.
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and carrier paperwork.
Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
Verify orders, shipping information, and product readiness prior to shipment.
Communicate shipping status updates to internal teams and customers.
Resolve shipping issues and discrepancies as they arise.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, carrier performance, and shipping costs.
Support warehouse and production teams with logistics coordination.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with shipping software, Microsoft Office, or ERP systems a plus.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
