Position Overview:
A short-term leadership opportunity is available in Dayton, Ohio, for an individual to oversee daily functions within a warehouse and production setting. This role involves coordinating logistics, managing inventory flow, and supervising equipment handling during a facility transition. The individual will be expected to guide a team through organized processes related to receiving, shipping, and overall warehouse management, while upholding safety and compliance standards.
Contract Duration:
Approximately 10 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
Lead teams across warehousing, maintenance, and production to ensure task execution aligns with operational goals
Identify inventory inconsistencies and coordinate with planning staff to maintain accurate system records
Facilitate the movement of goods and equipment through internal system transactions
Oversee timely preparation and collection of inventory items for transfer
Supervise inbound and outbound logistics
Conduct and monitor regular stock verifications in line with company procedures
Maintain a safe, orderly, and hazard-free working environment
Administer the use of handheld scanning tools for tracking inventory
Coordinate team efforts for the transfer and setup of equipment and stock
Fulfill other supervisory functions as assigned by leadership
Candidate Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or related operations
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Familiar with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems over a multi-year period
Hands-on background in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
Demonstrated ability to support and implement process improvements
Prior involvement in warehouse or facility relocation projects is a bonus
