Momentum PTN is hiring a
Social Skills and Community Integration Assistant (SSCI) to assist leaders in running small groups of children ages 4-12 years, both on site and in the community. As an SSCI Assistant, you will assist with reaching individual developmental goals, while building appropriate social and community skills. Social Skills & Community Integration Assistant Essential Responsibilities: - Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment
- Respects and promotes the right of individuals
- Promotes independence, dignity, and fulfillments
- Participates in social skills and community integration training
- Assists and supports the group leader with activities throughout the program, both on site and in the community
- Takes supplies to off-site sessions (such as snacks, first aid kits, park bags, etc.) per the needs of the group
- Participates in set-up and clean-up of group program
- Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum’s policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs
Social Skills & Community Integration Assistant Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent; required
- Enrolled in or completion of bachelor's degree; required
- Basic knowledge of child development and familiarity with MPTN programs and services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
- Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish; preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
