STATE PARK INTERPRETER II – SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT / HISTORIC SECTOR / INTERPRETATION & EDUCATION
The reporting location for this position is Old Town State Historic Park. This position will work under the general supervision of State Park Interpreter III. The State Park Interpreter II works closely with Interpretive and tour staff, exhibit staff, volunteers, and other park disciplines and external partners. The incumbent does the more difficult work in planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing interpretive programming for the Historic Sector of the San Diego Coast District. This position plans, researches, and develops interpretive programs, projects, and tours for the sector. Interpretive programs range in product and audience, including school and public programs, special events, and daily museum operations. The Interpreter II serves as the lead for interpretive staff in the Historic Sector. This position is designated as Telework Eligibile, office centered. Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
