UITS NETWORKS & SECURITY (UA-NTW-IUBLA)
REN-ISAC (Research & Education Networks Information Sharing Analysis Center) is a team of highly skilled cyber security professionals for the higher education sector. Our team provides Cyber security threat intelligence and CSIRT services for the higher education institutions in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Moreover our team strives to be ahead of the game and provide top notch cyber security services for its members.
- Analyzes security data
- Integrates analytical data with visualizations
- Processes logs and feeds
- Integrates microservices
EDUCATION
Required - Current IU student with an interest in Big Data analytics and informatics and data visualization
Preferred - Currently enrolled in an Cybersecurity or Data Science major or minor
Required WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred - Experience in a Data analytics
Skills Required - Strong working knowledge of, or willingness to learn elastic search visualization
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates project management skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
This position is eligible for remote work (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
